Often when talking to prospective customers who have handled their backup and recovery in house or used tape backup solutions, they express concern about what is involved in implementing a high availability solution. We explain that by outsourcing it to an expert, it is really rather painless for the customer.
For a high availability (DSC/HA) client, our technical team first needs to set up the hardware to provide back up. We then coordinate the installation of the data circuits and make sure the customer’s site is ready, including fixes, extra network cards, etc. Once that has been completed, we coordinate with our network team and ensure all components have been properly installed and tested. The next step is the pre-installation checks. We go through a check list with our customer to make sure the handoff to install the high availability software and data replicating solution will go smoothly. Lastly, we work with the customer to install and configure the software and replicate their system.
By outsourcing your backup and recovery solutions, you don’t have to be bogged down with the details and can focus more on your strategic IT issues.
